LIDL GAMES

Lidl Ireland / Northern Ireland Christmas Games.

Use the Lidl elf, created by agency, and create engaging games for customers of all ages to play over the festive season.

ELFMAN

The first game, noticeably derived from Pacman, is a simple one-player game. The character is the head of the Lidl Christmas Elf (spooky), catching yellow squares + running away from the classic Pacman monsters (but in Christmas hats, of course).

CATCH THE

The second game in the series, released a week after Elfman, is Catch the Turkey, another classic we all remember!
All you need to do is catch all the items falling from the sky, some give more points than others, while some slow the player down.

ADVENTURES

ELF

And last, my favourite, Elf Adventures — derived from Super Mario Bros.
It’s simple; pop open all the Christmas presents with your head, collecting all the goodies; kill all the monsters + jump up on the flagpole at the end to complete the level!
Elf even has a superpower activated by one of the goodies in the Christmas gifts.

PROJECT DETAILS

My responsibilities:

Ideate and conceptualise games for the Lidl customer to remain top of mind during the festive period rush.

Develop different character states based on existing Elf plush toy and illustrations.

Develop the stage for each of these games, as well as a Gameboy console device to house the games; bringing back the nostalgia.

Package and handover files to external development agency.
